We were really lucky with the people we chose to buy things for our wedding from.

(Or really good at choosing people, depending on your point of view.)

We'd like to let you know who some of them were, and encourage you to buy things from them too. They are all brilliant.

As I am sure you all remember, we hosted our wedding ceremony at The University of Glasgow, with our meal and reception at West on the Green.

Our ceremony was conducted by the wonderful Claire Digance, who somehow encouraged us to do absolutely anything we wanted without making the whole thing ridiculous. 10/10, would get married by her again.

For photographs, we chose Ross Alexander, who somehow managed to get actual photos of Gordon being affectionate in public. We assume as well as an excellent photographer Ross must be a first class hypnotist.

Our band (and DJ) were the excellent Scotch Bonnet - we've never seen so many Irish men get up to dance so quickly at a wedding.

Of course, we also needed a few pieces of jewellery. Malissa's engagement ring was made from recycled platinum by Mahailia Jewellery Design, and her wedding ring was from Lovefinediamonds. Gordon's wedding ring was bought from Beachcomber Jewellery.

Malissa's dress was from Ronald Joyce, with a cape from Ajoure. Her veil was made in Glasgow, by Modiste. She got her earrings from Newbridge Silver to bring more Ireland to the wedding, and her bracelet was bought (by Gordon!) from Red Squirrel Crafts.

It wasn't just Malissa who needed dressed of course, so she sourced her bridesmaid's dresses from Pretty Kitty Fashion.

On the morning of the wedding, Malissa and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done at Pin Ups Vintage.

All of the flowers for the wedding were from Little Botanica.

There were men to dress as well, of course. Gordon's kilt, and kilt hire for the Groomsmen, was from MacGregor and MacDuff. And since Gordon felt the wedding wasn't odd enough, he also got tweed bow ties from The Edinburgh Bow Tie Co..

Wedding taxis were from Glasgow Taxis (because we needed taxis, in Glasgow...).

A special mention to the wonderful (and very sadly about to close) bakery47 - keep a eye out for whatever these guys do next, because it is likely to be spectacular...

And to finish, if you were wondering where we got the artwork of the Rabbie Burns quote that sat behind us during the meal, that was by Stewart Bremner.
